Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I Join Anytime?

Yes. All classes are open to the public. It is recommended that you begin at the beginning of the year or in august after the exam period when new skills and routines are introduced. 

Do I have to do the exams/be in the concerts?

Exams and concerts are optional. However, examination and competitive students have always achieved excellent results, not only through the examination process but also through the satisfaction that comes from performing and achieving new skills. Emphasis is placed on quality skill development, technique, discipline self-confidence while maintaining a fun atmosphere.

Is there a uniform?

All students are required to wear the appropriate clothing and footwear for each class. Grooming is an essential part of dance.
Students generally tend to wear the following:

Girls
Babies/Theatrical & performing Arts A
Pink sleeveless cotton leotard, pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes (avoid wearing jiffies as they are unstable)
Tan tap shoes (for Theatrical & Performing Arts B and Tap Exams)

Modern Jazz Classes
Black cotton lycra leotard, black 3/4 cotton lycra leggings or jazz shorts, camel jazz and tap shoes

Classical
Black cotton lycra RAD leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
​As from 2018 all CSTD Classical exam entrants are required to wear the official CSTD exam leotard. These are ordered through the Studio when required.

Boys
White T-shirt, black track pants, black/camel jazz shoes, black tap shoes.

What are the facilities like?

The studio is inside the newly named Margary Dunn Centre. The studio is air conditioned, mirrored and equipped with a wooden sprung floor. 

Is there parking?

Yes. Parking is available. Bus Stop 22 is immediately out front of Hall.
